# hexodic > hexodic is a mobile-first abstract strategy game on a 37-cell hexagonal board: one piece type, fully deterministic rules (no luck), games of about 5-6 minutes, free with cosmetic-only purchases and no forced ads. Its bots improve through a classical search-agent evolution loop driven by real human play — every decisive win over the production bot spawns a candidate that must beat every current bot by a strict statistical test before promotion. iOS is in TestFlight beta now; the App Store launch is coming. "National bots" (country-trained bots representing their players) is a roadmap VISION, not a shipped feature. Every page on this site has a markdown twin at the same path with a .md suffix. Facts below are status-labeled: SHIPPED (measured/live), IN-FLIGHT (built, on the way), VISION (not shipped). ## Pages - [hexodic — chess-class depth, five-minute games](https://hexodic.com/index.md): What hexodic is, in one page — start here - [Try hexodic in your browser — interactive demo & tutorial](https://hexodic.com/demo.md): Interactive browser demo — guided tutorial + free play on the canonical rules engine (practice opponent only, not the app's ladder bots) - [How to play hexodic — rules in plain language](https://hexodic.com/how-it-works.md): The full ruleset in plain language — turn structure, capture, win conditions - [How your games help — what hexodic records, and why](https://hexodic.com/how-your-games-help.md): Transparency page — exactly what is recorded, what it is used for, and where the authoritative privacy policy lives - [hexodic FAQ — availability, price, rules, data](https://hexodic.com/faq.md): Answer-first FAQ: availability, price, ads, fairness, data - [A deterministic strategy game with no luck — hexodic](https://hexodic.com/deterministic-strategy-game.md): For competitive chess/Go players — depth and fairness evidence - [A 5-minute strategy game with real depth — hexodic](https://hexodic.com/5-minute-strategy-game.md): For 5–10 minute mobile players — quick, deep, respectful of your time - [Play-to-train — the game that trains its own bots | hexodic](https://hexodic.com/play-to-train.md): For the AI-curious — the exact mechanism by which play improves the bots - [Abstract strategy games — the genre, the hex-grid branch, and hexodic](https://hexodic.com/abstract-strategy-game.md): The genre hub — what defines abstract strategy, the hex-grid branch, and where hexodic sits - [Games like hexodic — how it compares to Hive, Tak, Onitama, chess, and Go](https://hexodic.com/games-like-hexodic.md): Comparison table: hexodic vs Hive, Tak, Onitama, chess, Go - [Hexodic vs Hive — hex-adjacent abstract strategy, compared](https://hexodic.com/hexodic-vs-hive.md): Pairwise comparison: hexodic vs Hive — mechanics, session length, what each asks of you - [Hex-grid strategy games — why six directions change everything | hexodic](https://hexodic.com/hex-grid-strategy-games.md): The hex-grid lineage — why hexes beat squares for abstracts, and the games that prove it - [Games where playing trains the AI — from Foldit to hexodic](https://hexodic.com/games-that-train-ai.md): The lineage of play-as-training-signal — citizen science to hexodic's decisive-win loop - [The bot gauntlet — how a hexodic candidate bot earns promotion](https://hexodic.com/bot-gauntlet.md): The exact promotion mechanics — trigger, whole-pool gauntlet, Wilson 95% gate - [hexodic roadmap — what's live, what's returning, what's a vision](https://hexodic.com/roadmap.md): Status honesty: shipped vs returning vs vision (incl. the national-bots vision) - [hexodic press kit — facts, angles, and assets](https://hexodic.com/press.md): Press kit: fact sheet, boilerplate, story angles — every claim status-labeled ## Optional - [Full site content in one file](https://hexodic.com/llms-full.txt): concatenated markdown of every page - [Privacy & support](https://meanmod3.github.io/hexodic-legal/): formal privacy policy and contact
